  ↑  Living stories.

□ Living stories consists of carrying out a group of pieces, made with encaustic technique on wood frames recovered with amate or paper,  describing some characters scenes of daily life, there, at places we use everyday, and we share each other without note it, where it forms life convergent points. □ From the great infinity of people who appear in front of me, I get, for their aesthetic value, those characters who by their wide past and enormous experience, they have those,  I decided to focus in this project, Living Histories.

□ There are two main reasons that motivated me to carrying out this project.

□ First, like spear point present in my search and visual investigation, it’s the discursive construction about what makes us to be women and men of our time, about what touch us now, and enrich our spirit condition, building our own discourses with our own reality and cosmovision.

             □ Second, because while watching and living with old people, in a daily way, especially in our stay in Galicia, to see their gestures and conducts, or even to listen their histories, allowing me to see a pinch about what were and still are their life, and to visualize them in a total context of colours, forms, sounds, they have fascinated me and feed the soul, touched my thoughts and spirit as much as make me thirsty of represent it through this series.

 DCOUPLES   ↑

□ Couples is a series finally conformed by eight pieces, seven paintings on paper and a lithography. □  This series born in winter, allowed me to explore in a monochromatic palette, a more deformed drawing even in composition, next to exploration with materials and size uniformity. □ The seven paintings made with encaustic on cotton paper have a 60 X 94 cms size.  □ Put together by similar elements like socks using in characters, it’s playing in its composition a piece with another.

□ Topic is very simple representing exclusively different kinds of couples. □ I wanted to express a very simple subject by using positions, gestures and complicity looks, charming, and indifference, among other stuffs, trying to print character to each couple.  □ It was a concentration and internal dialogue series becoming to a relevant transition stage in my pictorial development.
